The village of Morokozawa is found in the Ôkawa sector, in the western part of the mountains of Hon.yama, along Warashina River. It is in this exceptional environment that Satô Hiromitsu, the producer and creator of the Kogane-midori cultivar with golden leaves, works with passion. He is also known as among the few producers in Japan able to make high-quality oolong teas.
This is the unroasted version of his Kanaya-midori Oolong. With floral and fruity aromas, the fragrance of the dry leaves is already captivating. When the leaves are infused, floral confectionary scents, with touches of cream and vanilla are revealed. In later infusions, the creamy, sweet, slightly fruity side begins to dominate, but subsequently the tea becomes more floral, and then turns toward green, but stays redolent with fragrant notes.
This tea always remains extremely fluid in the mouth. Highly aromatic, it once again confirms the talent and precision of this producer, as well as the potential of the Kanaya-midori variety.
