Shimizu Jun is the oldest son of the famous Suigetsu. He is one of the only young banko-yaki potters specializing in teapots working in Yokkaichi. While he is known for his magnificent porcelain works, he is also the worthy heir of Suigetsu, and his kyûsu teapots made from traditional purple shidei banko-yaki clay are of very high quality, light, and executed with precision.
Thus, this teapot is a sure value, a high-quality tool with obvious aesthetic qualities.
