Kanaya-midori

A sencha cultivar grown from a cross of S6 (a zaira tea tree from Shizuoka) and Yabukita, registered in 1970. It is one of the varieties that was once grown widely throughout all of Japan, but is disappearing little by little. It is a rather mellow variety, known for its milky aromas. Time of harvest: late.
