Yume-wakaba

A cultivar for sencha developed in Saitama by crossing Yabukita and Saitama #9, Yume-wakaba was registered in 2006. It is a very high quality variety, in terms of both botany and taste. However, it is especially when it is put through a wilting process that it develops truly special fragrances of apricots, peaches and even milk. Time of harvest: mid-season.
