Musashi-kaori

A sencha cultivar developed at the Saitama research centre and registered in 1997. It comes from a cross of Yabukita and Sai27F1-73 (Sayama-midori x Yingzhuhongxin). A powerful, sweet variety with especially woody, spicy scents. Perhaps owing to its Taiwanese ancestor, it seems suited to wilting. Time of harvest: slightly late.
