Karabeni

A black tea cultivar developed in Shizuoka after World War II. It was grown from seeds brought back from Hubei in China. Its Chinese origin gives it sweet, woody aromas that are extremely different from “beni” varieties with Indian ancestors. Karabeni is exceptionally rare. Time of harvest: mid-season.
