Gokô
A shaded tea variety from Uji, used particularly for high quality gyokuro, but rarely for tencha. It was selected from Uji zairai tea trees and developed in 1953. It has a very special aroma of red fruit that comes out just as well when shaded as when not. Time of harvest: slightly late.
