An Uji shaded-tea variety selected from a Samidori seed. Its aromatic characteristics are not very strong: it is mellow, balanced and fresh, and resembles Samidori. Not yet grown widely, it is difficult to tell whether it is best suited for gyokuro or for tencha (matcha). Time of harvest: early.
