Tea caddy containing 150 g (5.3 oz), made from steel covered in paper with geometrical “sayaga” motifs. The motifs evoke the Buddhist “manji” (swastika) character.
The texture and sheen of the paper recall effects produced by ''kamakura-bori,'' a traditional Japanese technique for making lacquer ware with a raised pattern.
