Yôgetsu is a newcomer to Aozuru-chaho Thés Du Japon who is based in Kagoshima. He is a self-taught kyûsu artisan who uses a variety of clays, both with and without glaze. He usually use a gas kiln to fire his pottery, but he also sometimes woodfires them. His style is characterized by beautiful round shapes and short handles angled upwards, in the fashion in the Edo period.
