This powerful yuzamashi is in the same vein as the Hohin teapot by the same craftsman, Nobuhara Katsushi. A renowned specialist of anagama kiln firing, Mr. Nobuhara knows how to utilize the fiery heat of his kiln perfectly to "forge" motifs on his works, with no glaze, colouring or other materials. The way the ash flies, and differences in firing owing to oxidation or reduction create objects that are all noticeably different.

※ Since the motifs and colours are produced by flames in the kiln and each piece is completely handmade, each has a slightly different shape and decoration. Each is unique.
