Mizuno Hiroshi studied teapot production in Tokoname with Yamada Jôzan III, who was later designated a Living National Treasure. However, he moved away from the famous potter’s style to find his own. He uses extremely fine clay that is very pleasant to the touch. Moreover, he is one of the rare Tokoname potters to make his own clay from raw materials.
In addition to looking elegant, Mizuno Hiroshi’s teapots are very easy to handle and perfectly designed for preparing Japanese teas.
