Yûsen, younger brother of the very famous Konishi Yôhei, is one of the great veteran Tokoname teapot specialists.
His delicate kyûsus are light and have quick, precise pouring.
Most of his works are made using green clay fired in oxidation in an electric kiln. However, he is also a specialist of the nerikomi technique, which consists in mixing two types of clay. This results in green and red motifs, as with this teapot.
The surface of this teapot was decorated using a technique in which small slices are removed.
