Cultivar and technical information
This handpicked Yabukita comes from a tea garden in Shinden, Umegashima. It is located in the most upstream part of Abe River of the region that produces Hon.yama mountain tea in Shizuoka .

The nose
This fine Yabukita sencha delivers a light, fresh fragrance of greens and young buds.

The mouth
In the mouth, there is a rich attack. It has vegetal aromas—of wood or damp wood—that are slightly floral. This green tea delivers an elegant balance of light umami and astringency.
The tea also has a wonderful length in the mouth that balances sweetness and umami. Subsequent infusions make the astringency more prominent; it is an astringency that is among the most enjoyable for fans of true, unshaded sencha. The overall experience is very aromatic.

Summary
This fine mountain tea is rich, is deep, and has the robustness of the Yabukita cultivar.
