The Fuji-kaori cultivar was carefully selected in Fujieda from a cross between Inzatsu 131 and Yabukita. Famous for its jasmine aromas, Fuji-kaori is mainly used for green tea, sencha, and kama-iri cha. The tea also lends itself well to being wilted, and to the production of oolong and black tea.
This summer black tea from Fujieda is richly fragrant, offering a bouquet of berries, jasmine, and plums.
In the mouth, the tea is lightly tannic, while remaining very delicate and having rich fruity aromas.
The Fuji-kaori cultivar gives here a black tea with unique, yet very balanced aromas. A great find that is sure to please any crowd.
