Sweet vegetables, yaki-nori
Umami★★★☆ / Astringency☆☆☆☆
Body★★☆☆ / Firing★★☆☆
The Haruto 34 cultivar was registered in 2016 and developed in Miyazaki from a cross between Saemidori and Sakimiori, the inverse of Kirari 31.
This shaded sencha has a sweet green vegetable fragrance, is slightly iodized, and has vanilla notes.
On the palate, the tea is very delicate and velvety. The backbone of this tea is sweet, smooth umami. There are also vegetal artichoke notes, but we remain in the realm of sweetness as the vanilla aromas are also present.
Subsequent infusions remain in the same trend. There is sweet vegetal umami without astringency, all while remaining fluid and without heaviness.
This is a classic sencha that is sure to appeal to a wide audience.
