While continuing the tradition of working with purple Banko clay, Yamamoto Taisen explores other avenues by also creating works in different types of clay, and especially by studying glazes and slips.

This beautiful elongated teapot is an example of Taisen’s glaze work. It is covered in an off-white, transparent glaze made from plant ashes.
The result is a teapot that is quite different from usual Banko products.
