【Grown without pesticide】
Genmai-cha is a tea to which roasted rice has been added. In general, it is an inexpensive product for general consumption.
However, this genmai-cha is made of Hon.yama mountain sencha from the first spring harvest. The rice also comes from Hon.yama. Both the rice and the tea are grown in exactly the same area, Ushizuma, by the same farmer, Mr. Shigeta, under organic conditions, using neither chemical fertilizer nor pesticides.
With beautiful shiny leaves rolled into fine needles, its taste and fragrance are much more subtle than those of usual genmai-chas. Even just the way it looks makes the mouth water. The mellow freshness of mountain tea and the lightly caramelized aroma of the rice are in perfect harmony.
A genmai-cha that is a pleasant surprise, even for those who do not usually like genmai-chas.
